Event & Marketing Associate, part-time

Responsibilities:

  • work with owner to plan, prepare, and staff store events both on and off-site
  • prepare press releases, calendars, flyers, & social media posts
  • effectively represent the bookstore and articulate its value to community groups
  • provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers
  • keep abreast of new books and publishing trends
  • share and promote books via shelf cards and social media
  • provide deeper knowledge of a genre or subject area
  • help create a beautiful, inviting store environment
  • accurately perform sales transactions

Bachelor’s degree or book industry experience, valid driver’s license, & physical ability to shelve books, move boxes up to 40 lbs, set up and take down book displays at off-site events required.
