Author Jen Petro-Roy joins us the Girl Power! Book Club to celebrate the launch of her new middle grade novel, Life in the Balance, about a young girl's struggle to balance softball, friends, and family turmoil. Jen returns to meet with the Girl Power! readers on March 25 to hear their thoughts on the book, answer questions and discuss the novel's main themes.
About the Girl Power! Book Club: In this book club, we read middle grade fiction that is either written by or about women, but for every reader. We encourage all readers to join us for meetings and aim to have a diverse group of book enthusiasts who bring different perspectives, experiences and opinions to every meeting. Each meeting focuses on a particular book or author, and includes serious and fun discussion, as well as some games and prizes. All are welcome to join (even if they haven't read or finished the assigned book!)
