RESCHEDULED!! Join Scrawl Books on Monday, November 14 at 7PM as we welcome Leslie Absher to celebrate the release of her memoir, Spy Daughter, Queer Girl. Leslie will be joined by Vienna native and former CIA field officer Marc Polymeropoulos, author of Clarity In Crisis.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Leslie Absher is a journalist and essayist. Her work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Huffington Post, Salon, Ms., Greek Reporter, and San Francisco Magazine. She received a master’s in education from Harvard, taught G.E.D. to high school dropouts, and currently teaches writing and study skills to middle school and high school students. She lives in Oakland with her comic book writer/lawyer wife.
Marc Polymeropoulos retired from the Senior Intelligence Service ranks in 2019 after serving for 26 years in the Intelligence Community in operational field and leadership assignments. He is an expert in counterterrorism, covert action, and human intelligence collection. Marc is one of IC's most highly decorated field officers and has honed a unique leadership style based on decision making under pressure, inclusivity, camaraderie, and competition. He terms this "Finding Clarity in the Shadows." Marc's goal is to pass on this knowledge to the private sector who can benefit from his unique experiences serving his country in the hot spots of the world.
